Don’t stop after launch

Up to 50% of a gallery’s revenue lands after the first 30 days. If your campaigns stop at launch, you’re leaving money on the table.

This playbook helps you jump-start sales and keep revenue coming all season — with timely campaigns, stronger merchandising and a checklist your whole team can use.

Practical tips for marketing campaigns

  • Use the subject’s name in the subject line and body copy
  • Try a letter-format email — it reads as important and not just “another marketing email”
  • Skip the subject’s photo for the first 3 sends — get recipients into the shop to view their photos (that’s one click closer to the cart!)
  • Use early-bird pricing or bulk shipping deadlines to encourage a purchase now, not later

Campaign editing best practices

Follow these key practices for the best results.

01

Personalization

Use personalization like the subject’s name in subject lines or body copy to grab attention and create a sense of importance.

02

Simple and clear

Keep templates and messages simple—clear information and offer details drive engagement and purchases, not complicated designs.

03

Short subject lines

Keep to 30–38 characters so the entire message shows when viewing the email on a phone.

04

Highlight key information

Keep key information at the top of the email where users will see it without needing to scroll.

05

Keep file sizes down

Keep graphics to 1200×600px, compressed by 50%, and aim under 1MB to maximize load speed.

06

CTA button placement

Place your call-to-action button above the fold so customers see it without scrolling.

Grow order value

Every step of the shop is a chance to grow the order

Campaigns bring families in. Price sheets convert. Cart tools close the sale for more.

01

Features that convert

  • Badges and strike-through pricing
  • Dynamic product thumbnails
  • Locked offers that reward a bigger basket

01

Badges

Remove decision paralysis and guide parents to the right package fast with badges like “On Sale,” “Popular Pick,” and “Limited Time Offer.”

02

Strike-through pricing

Shows the deal at a glance and builds urgency by design.

03

Promo Banners

Drive awareness of your offer the moment a parent enters the shop.

04

Dynamic Display Images (New)

Personalized previews help parents buy with confidence, increase conversion and eliminate manual preview creation.

30%

revenue lift when badges, strike-through pricing, and promo banners are used together

02

Grow value per customer

  • Free-shipping progress
  • Seasonal promo banners
  • Affirm and service-fee options

01

Candy-Aisle

Auto-surfaces relevant add-ons as parents build their cart — no setup required.

03

Affirm

Buy now, pay over time shifts the question from “Can I afford this?” to “Can I afford $X/month?”

02

Free Shipping and Offer Thresholds

A progress bar shows exactly how close parents are to unlocking the offer.

04

Service Fee

Offsets fulfillment costs without changing package pricing or impacting conversion.

My checklist
“Making Affirm available has been a game changer! It’s quickly become our top-performing campaign, driving meaningful revenue growth while giving our customers the flexibility they love.”Bethany Zuk, Process Architect — Upstate Images
“The additional revenue has been significant. It has strengthened our business without negatively impacting the customer experience — implementing service fees was one of the better business decisions we’ve made.”Mike Norkin, CEO & Owner — Cherished Memories Photography

  • Higher perceived value
  • Differentiates you from competitors
  • Customization drives emotional attachment

Boost conversions

Shop merchandising best practices

01

Limit Packages

Limit packages to 3–6 descriptively named options, such as “The Essentials,” “The Family Pack,” and “The Complete Package.” This guides parents without decision fatigue.

03

Clear Details

Show clear details of what is in each package. Reducing clicks and simplifying comparison improves conversion.

02

Top Revenue Driver Placement

Put your top revenue drivers at the top of the price sheet. Check sales by product to understand what drives revenue versus orders.

04

Dynamic Thumbnails

Personalized previews help parents visualize their purchase, boosting conversion and order value while saving time.

Protect your revenue

Keep previews helpful—and harder to steal

Dynamic watermark patterns and screenshot-prevention prompts make it clear that the work is professionally protected while keeping the shopper journey moving.

01

Dynamic Watermark

Action needed
  • Adds a patterned overlay (Lines or Triangles) on top of your existing watermark
  • Built to defeat AI watermark-removal tools
  • Opt-in — you must turn it on
  • Enable: Shop > Cart Template > Watermark > Dynamic Watermark > Lines or Triangles > Save
02

Screenshot Prevention

Automatically on
  • Detects screenshot attempts on desktop and blocks them before they complete
  • A modal redirects the shopper back to the gallery, or offers to copy the gallery link
  • On by default for every studio — no setup required
  • Together with watermarking, this signals your work is professionally protected
